Andrea Nutt

Andrea Nutt is an American painter born in 1981.  The recipient of a Presidential Art Scholarship award, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in fine art from The George Washington University.  Andrea graduated Summa Cum Laude and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society at 19 years old.

Pursuing the depths of painting, Andrea moved to Italy and enrolled in the Florence Academy of Art in 2001.  There, focusing on Classical Realism for nearly 4 years, she received an atelier certificate in drawing and painting.  While at the Florence Academy, Andrea contributed as a full time instructor.

2005 marked a return to the United States where Andrea works from her private studio in the Atlanta area.  She paints exclusively from life, concentrating in portraiture, landscape, still life and figurative painting with a particular love for the human form.  Her art is displayed within the Americas and Europe.  She is also a professor at Brenau University.

Andrea paints in homage to the glories of creation, believing that beauty is a true and unifying gift for the human soul.
