I want the portrait to convey the very depth of the subject’s life through a visual medium. This is not always the simplest of tasks, as most artists admit, but it is one of the most rewarding for me. In order to learn about you, I have to step outside of myself and see things from your perspective. My work is usually a combination of how I view you and how you view yourself. I try to meet you in the portrait. It is through this, that I learn about humanity: life, love, passion, beauty, you. We will work together to create an image that bears your likeness
