Linda Harris Reynolds
Linda Harris Reynolds has been painting portraits professionally for twenty-five years, and has received numerous awards for her work. Her vivid, light-filled images reflect a blending of European academic training with American Impressionism. Reynolds’ philosophy has always been to capture what is both uniquely beautiful and true about her subjects.
Attending the Tyler School of Art in Rome in 1978, Reynolds observed and was inspired by the masterpieces of Europe. Upon her return to America, she attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the University of the Arts, where she studied with master painters Sydney Goodman and Nelson Shanks. Reynolds continued her study at the National Academy of Design in New York City with renowned painter Harvey Dinnerstein, at the Art Student’s League, the Cape Cod School of Art (School of American Impressionism) and in 2004, attended the Florence Academy of Art.
Linda Reynolds was selected to participate in the prestigious New York Portrait Society’s 2002 Exhibition. This international show was held in the historic Salmagundi Club on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Her group exhibitions include the Hagley Museum, the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Designer’s Showcase, as well as exhibitions in New York City and Rome. Her solo shows include three one-woman exhibitions on the Wilmington Art Loop. Reynolds has taught privately and at the Center for Creative Arts in Yorklyn, Delaware, while painting for clients throughout the East Coast.
