Online exhibit for Serious Collectors of Realism Art [SCRA]!  [To view or join SCRA's Facebook Group, click HERE!]

Hello SCRA artists!  Our jury has made the following 68 selections for the online exhibit for SCRA artists.  Please excuse the list form… We thought it was a great idea to use Facebook to submit [trying something new!] but it was very difficult as not everyone posted complete information, etc. etc.

Thank you for submitting your work to the SCRA online exhibition!  Here are some basic points.

REGISTRATION: Have you registered at www.TheBrighamGalleries.com?  Your User Name should be the name you go by professionally.  For example, I would use “Sara Boyce”.  This helps us match your submissions with your profile.

PHOTOGRAPHS: ALL attached high resolution jpegs MUST have the artist’s name in the title.  PLEASE title the jpeg with your name and title.  (It gets confusing trying to match hundreds of photographs with the right lot description.)

EMAIL Photos & Specs to SCRA@TheBrighamGalleries.com, with SCRA in the title of the email.

SPECS: We need the following information:

YOUR EMAIL:

ARTIST | USER NAME: (Artist and User Name when you Register are the same)

TITLE:

SPECS:

RETAIL PRICE:

DESCRIPTION OF THE ART: (Pretend you’re talking to a potential buyer, who is viewing it online.  Take the time to check for typos so you look professional.)

YOUR BIO: (NO contact information please, just a bio or artist statement.)

Thank you!

We will work to upload this online auction as soon as we have all submissions.  Please be patient!

We will let you know when you can start promoting the event!

ONLINE EXHIBIT FOR SCRA MEMBERS

SCRA is working with The Brigham Galleries to create an online art exhibit.  The exhibit will  be held at www.TheBrighamGalleries.com. We will be using Facebook [and other social networking sites] to maximize exposure for everyone!

Submission Deadline: December 15.

The online exhibit will be juried and limited to 100 pieces.

Submissions are limited to any members of the Facebook Group, “Serious Collectors of Realism Art”.

Genre: Realism

Mediums: All mediums considered, except multi-media.

Fees:

There are no listing fees.

Art will be shown at a “Buy it Now” flat price, which should be the standard Gallery Price for similar works.  [This will not be an auction.  This will be an online exhibition of works at a flat price.  There is a "Make an Offer" button that a collector can choose.  Artists will be notified if someone selects this option and can say YES or NO.]

Of every sale, the artist will take 60%.

The Brigham Galleries will process all payments and pay the artist via PayPal.  [PayPal is secure, and easy to use.  Even if you do not have a PayPal account, The Brigham Galleries can send you a PayPal email that clearly describes how to accept a deposit into your bank account.

Dates & Availability:

The exhibit will be online by February 1 [This allows for holidays, jurying and uploading.]

Art should be available for THIS [and only this] online exhibit until April 1st.  [If a collector bids online for your piece, they are legally obligated to purchase it.  Also, you are legally obligated to sell a piece if a collector offers to purchase it.]

Promotion:

The Brigham Galleries will create an e-newsletter that promotes the exhibit.  This will be shared with all participating artists and SCRA for everyone to distribute.

Submission Guidelines:

1) LIKE The Brigham Galleries Fan Page: http://www.facebook.com/TheBrighamGalleries.Auction

2) Upload 1 – 5 photographs to YOUR own Facebook page.  For each photograph you would like to submit:

a) Once they have loaded, click SHARE [for each photograph you want to submit].

b) Select, from the Share Drop Down Menu, “In a Group”.  Make sure to select “Serious Collectors of Realism Art.”

c) On the drop down menu on the right hand side, choose “Public”, so you can get as much exposure as possible with your photograph.

d) So we can know you have submitted, in the text box, when it prompts you to “Write Something”, write the artist name, title, size, medium, and cut and paste this sentence:

I have submitted my artwork to an online exhibit for Serious Collectors of Realism Art, a Facebook group, created & hosted by The Brigham Galleries [http://www.facebook.com/TheBrighamGalleries.Auction], a Facebook page!

We will then be able to share this!

The submissions will be juried and we will contact the selected artists.

Thank you for participating!
